Revised Business & Management Qualifications

I hope you are well.

As per my letter to you of 4th November 2022 (which I’ve attached again for ease of reference), I am writing to tell you that the following qualifications:

ATHE Level 4 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Business and Management

ATHE Level 7 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Strategic Management

have now been reviewed and revised and will be available for you to deliver to learners from Monday 13th February 2023.

The Ofqual QN numbers for these qualifications have changed and the revised 2023 qualifications have the following new codes:

  • ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Business and Management (QN: 610/2057/6)
  • ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management (QN: 610/2058/8)
  • ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Business and Management (Gen. Ed.) (QN: 610/2058/8)
  • ATHE Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management (QN: 610/2087/4 )
  • ATHE Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management (QN: 610/2088/6)

Revised specifications and associated assignments will be available on the ATHE Portal from Monday 13th February under the qualification headings:

ATHE Level 4 in Business and Management (2023)

ATHE Level 7 in Strategic Management (2023)

Centres should be aware that the existing Level 4 and 7 qualification materials will also still be available on the ATHE Portal until after their registration end date (ie Friday 29th December 2023) and, therefore, centres must take care to ensure that they are using the correct qualification with learners.

As there is a period of time where old and revised qualifications are available, it is important that learners complete the qualification for which they are registered with ATHE. You are reminded that learners and centres are not permitted to mix and match units and assignments between qualifications.

From Monday 13th February, centres will also be able to register learners for the revised qualifications. The revised qualifications will be added to the list of ATHE qualifications against which you each have permission to register. Again, the revised qualifications will be clearly identified by the use of ‘2023’ in the title.

As also mentioned in the letter of 4th November 2022, we are currently concluding work on the revised Level 5 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Business and Management and the Level 6 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Management, and these will be available in a similar way from Monday 13th March 2023.
