Introduction
The Level 6 Extended Diploma in Management (120 credits) is designed to offer learners a broader and more comprehensive experience of management. Learners are required to take all 4 core units plus any 4 optional units. Again, these optional units can all be taken from a specific pathway where learners have particular interests. For those learners interested in fully realising their own academic interest and
potential for the subject, this qualification offers the opportunity to engage with a wide range of Level 6 management-related topics.

This is a core qualification available to existing and interested centres of ATHE.

This qualification is designed for learners who are typically aged 19 and above.

Qualifications

For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include:

• one or two years’ study of Business, Management or related qualifications at a Higher Education Institution or a college or university offering higher education qualifications
• a level 5 qualification in Business, Management or related subjects for example an ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management
• other equivalent international qualifications.

Language

For those whom English is not their first language we recommend the following standards of proficiency in English language skills or an approved equivalent for this qualification:

  • IELTs 5.5
  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 162 or above
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic 42-49
