Course Overview

This award (10-Credits) aims to provide an overview of web development. Learners will gain knowledge and understanding on how to plan, develop, test and launch a website. Learners will develop an understanding of engaging users and the inclusion of databases within websites.

The qualification is a stepping stone to the Level 3 Diploma and provides the basis for learners wishing to pursue further studies in related fields such as computer science, information systems and digital media. It helps learners gain competencies that are relevant and up to date with industry standards, preparing them to meet the needs of employers in the digital sector.

It offers learners current and integrated learning across computing mathematics, cyber security, digital technologies and emerging technologies.

This qualification sits within a suite of ATHE L3 qualifications, which is called the International Access Programme (IAP). Learners may choose to study one or more of the qualifications in this suite.
