Job Title: Quality and Assessment Manager
Job Type: Substantive part-time (3-4 days / 21-28 hours per week)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 p.a. pro rata
Reports to: Chief Executive
Place of Work: Flexible UK location with nationwide travel. The post holder will also need to make regular visits to the Norwich head office

About the Role
The role has management responsibility for monitoring the quality of provision in centres in relation to their teaching, learning, assessment and quality systems. In fulfilling these responsibilities, the post holder manages two Regional Standards Managers (RSMs) and a team of External Verifiers (EVs), ensuring verification decisions are valid and reliable and ensuring ATHE continues to meet the relevant Conditions. The post holder works closely with the Qualifications Development Manager and other management colleagues to ensure the validity of qualifications.
The post-holder will demonstrate a sound understanding of teaching/training and assessment with managerial experience in a relevant educational context. With substantial knowledge and practical experience of quality systems, the successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of developments in the UK tertiary education and/or vocational training sectors. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and their implications for awarding organisations is essential. Interpersonally strong and commercially astute, the post-holder will have experience of managing teams and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
