Introduction
This qualification has been designed to meet the needs of those who wish to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and skills in using analytical approaches in security risk management and consultancy.

It has been developed to support learners in becoming leaders in security and risk. Successful learners will be equipped with the skills and understanding needed to assess the implications that organisations face from challenges such as pandemics, economic and social disruptions, environmental and energy crises, and the shift of economic power from the west to China. Learners who achieve the qualification will be prepared for progression routes into HEI Masters degrees in the UK.

The qualification has been developed to conform to the requirements of the Ofqual Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and to meet the requirements of higher education and employers

Qualifications

For learners who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include one of following:

  • A first degree or a level 6 qualification in Business, Management or related subjects
  • Other equivalent international qualifications.

Language

For those whom English is not their first language we recommend the following standards of proficiency in English language skills or an approved equivalent for these qualifications:

  • IELTs 5.5
  • Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B2
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 162 or above
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic 42-49
