Breaking News: ATHE’s New Progression Routes to US and UK Universities

0

ATHE prides itself on the wide range of progression opportunities it is able to offer its learners upon the achievement of their qualifications. Enabling learners to further advance their learning and careers is imperative to us and we already have over 70 pre-agreed progression routes available to our learners with universities including Northampton, Birmingham City and Coventry.

All of these pre-agreed routes have been directly mapped to ATHE qualifications, meaning learners can progress without delay, provided that they meet the entry requirement for the university in question. In addition, with ATHE’s qualifications regulated by Ofqual many other universities will accept them as entry requirements once any necessary mapping has been done. We are pleased to be able to announce several new pre-agreed progression routes today in a variety of areas.

We are pleased to now offer ATHE learners a General Education (Gen Ed) option in our updated Level 4, 5 and 6 Business and Management qualifications, for students wishing to progress to the final fourth year of a US University degree at a significant cost saving. This route will particularly suit international learners seeking US University entrance (typically 4-year degrees) rather than progression to UK Universities (typically 3-year degrees).

ATHE has reached a transfer agreement with Northwood University, Michigan – a highly regarded institution with an established international profile, reflected in its 35,000 alumni from 120 countries. This ‘3+1’ agreement allows learners achieving the Levels 4, 5 and 6 Extended Diplomas in Business and Management to progress on to the final year of Northwood’s four-year Batchelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Management.

By completing the required set of units at each level and taking advantage of this progression route, ATHE learners can enjoy significant cost savings with the ‘3+1’ degree even when compared to a community college two-year degree. Study times between the ATHE qualifications and Northwood equivalents compare favourably and students can benefit from Northwood’s online learning platform and network of international hubs providing advice and guidance.

With the average cost of a UK degree at £27,000, the associated outlay for learners to complete their degree programmes has become unmanageable for many. By taking ATHE qualifications at an average cost of £1000-£1500 per qualification and progressing on to top-up programmes such as these, learners are able to make substantial savings, particularly when taking advantage of the more economically priced online top-up programmes.

You can find more details on the Progression Routes page of our website, including the qualifications it is necessary to achieve before you are able to apply. And watch this space for further new routes coming soon!
